Mark Weber Mark is the steadfast energy at Kelly’s, which his over 30 years behind the bar is a testament to. He is a native St. Louisian and is constantly berated about this from the staff. He is an ardent St. Louis Cardinals and Missouri Tigers fan and has recently admitted to enjoying frozen daiquiris and margaritas. His son, Ethan, is pursuing a college baseball career and daughter, Lauren, is in nursing school. He has witnessed most of Kelly’s craziest days and nights, so don’t hesitate to ask him about them during happy hour!

David “Red” Cross What can be said that hasn’t been said about Red yet? His nickname derived from his once red hair, but today it’s more of a shade of gray. He has been working at Kelly’s for over 28-years and has become a cult icon in the KC bar scene. Chances are Red has served you or someone you have met. While “studying” at K.U. he lettered in pole vaulting and has the ring to prove it. Red also has witnessed and taken part in some of the craziest days and nights at Kelly’s and he won’t hesitate to tell you about the time he met Elvis, or the time…or the time…

Chris Paone Chris is an ardent defender of his hometown Kansas City, its sports teams, its BBQ and it’s only fitting that he has worked in one of KC’s traditions since 2003 . He is a man’s man who enjoys golf and fishing among other sports and played tennis in college. His beard is the envy of Chuck Norris, but we all know it's just to keep his face from looking chubby. Don’t let his gruff appearance fool you, he touts an English degree and his quick dry humor is a symptom from years of Napoleon Syndrome. He founded the Leisure Club, whose members raise money and volunteer at various hospitals and a school for blind children. He’s basically a short kindhearted dude that can be summed up in his mantra “Party.”

Mark Stiles Mark grew up in the cosmopolitan villa of Hutchinson, Kansas in the shadow of salt mines and sunflowers. Apparently all that sodium went to his head when he decided to don purple for the rest of his life by attending Kansas State. It was in east central Kansas, where ever that is, that he first discovered his calling: Ultimate Frisbee and Frisbee Golf (i.e. Folf, Disc Golf, or Hippie Olympics). The first moment that he set eyes upon hemp and tie-dye laden people frolicking happily through fields and forests tossing discs about, he was hooked. So look for him hustling punk kids at an area Folf Course or riding around on his mountain bike hopping curbs at an 76% success rate.

Brian Maas Brian, the lone Bishop Miege graduate on the staff, which he is constantly reminded of, has over five years under his belt at Kelly’s. He enjoys Kansas City’s night life and is a regular in several places around town. He owns the distinction of wearing the most wristbands while working behind a bar, which if Guinness had a record for this category, he would certainly hold it. Brian is also a devoted cat lover, his cat Isis, an Egyptian Mau, is beautiful, but if he gets another cat, he might become that “crazy cat lady guy.”

Ezra Houle Ezra has locks of hair that would make Medusa jealous, and it is the longest of the staff’s. He hails from the austere rural village of Odessa, Missouri where he excelled in basketball and bonfires. His humble rural beginnings led him to graduate from Missouri State where he was President of his fraternity and eventually the bright lights of KC were too much of an appeal to him, the rest is history. Today, when he’s not combing his hair, you can find him reading about the Royals, thinking about the Royals and wearing some form of Royals paraphernalia. He also loves the outdoors, which just an excuse for him to gallivant around the woods with a shotgun.

Elliott Mura Elliot is teetering on nerdom. His interests include poker, video games, science fiction movies (purposely bad ones) and puzzles. A recent graduate of Missouri State, he moonlighted as a house appraiser before he found his true calling at Kelly’s. He is Currently working towards an MBA so he can thwart any chance that his career stalls in middle management. You can usually catch him in poker tournaments or online playing a variety of video games (Warcraft included) or at an area restaurant eating an entree that he won’t like when he tells you about it later.

Aaron Henderson Aaron has been working at Kelly’s for a couple of years while attending UMKC, and has worked in bars throughout the nation. He has served a number of positions, but at Kelly’s he is most admired for his talents as a troubadour and Juke Box Hero. His heart lies deep in the Arizona desert where he spent his formative years sweating and rooting for the Phoenix Suns and the Arizona Cardinals. Currently he is working towards a Master’s Degree in Counseling, an excellent skill set to manage our regulars.

Colleen Kelly Colleen is one of the newest additions to our beloved staff and fills the role of bartender when the sun is shining. Her interests include shopping, crosswords, painting and wearing huge sunglasses. A recent graduate of Mizzou, she came home to work in the family business, but deep down her heart longs for ‘Tiger Town’. Her love of sports can be summed up in her own quote: “Wait a minute, the Royals played the Cardinals in the 1985 world series?” The whole bar went silent. She is also a budding artist and her favorite subject right now is Andy Worholian inspired paintings of martini glasses, we think. She is evolving into her role nicely and is going to be a great staple in the years to come.

Chelsea Potter Chelsea hails from Canada’s southernmost Province of Minnesota, moving to KC after graduating from Mizzou. She chose KC and Mizzou because it was “warmer,” and oddly enough it is. She is an avid music fan and goes to concerts on a regular basis, she however refuses to like a band once they get popular, and you won’t convince her otherwise, trust us. She can also be seen about town walking a Pug named Daisy, which she weirdly doesn’t own. Chelsea enjoys hockey, which we think is the only sport played in the Province of Minnesota, then she reminds us about the Vikings and Twins.
